Ordered a few menu options at Barnacle Bill and can say that it’s definitely one of the best fish & chips in Western Sydney area, not just Penrith. They cook on order but definitely worth waiting for a few minutes. Menu is simple, food cooked fresh from quality ingredients, no fancy pretentious dish. I’ve lived in Penrith a few years now and it’s the first time I’ve been here! Not because I didn’t want to, I just never realised it was there! Anyway, I’ve just eaten fish (2 fillets battered) and chips with a piece of lemon and tartare sauce for $12.90 and it was fantastic! Freshly cooked and very tasty. Good quality and tasty food. I tried chickenettes and chips 6-8 pieces. Good portion size and chips taste good. Chicken ettes are similar to chicken snitzel. Wait time was not long. Came with 2 sauces. Overall, 5 stars.

I decided to pop in one foggy night after my partner mentioned a hankering for chicken chips from a takeaway shop. But after doing some googling, I wanted to check of Barnacle Bill! And I managed to convince my partner to get fish and chips instead. What a great decision that was! The way the seafood is crumbed is lovely and light.
