Wow Barnacle Bill has had a delightful upgrade! The $13 lunch special was delicious and excellent value. The marketing team have hit this refresh out of the park! The restaurant looks fresh and clean and we heard other families also commenting on the quality of the food and the lovely refresher towels.
My fish pack was fine. Chips could be better. But the other fish on its own was bad. Batter terrible thick and crusty tasted burnt and fish part not nice. Salad due today tasted old. Didn't eat it. Very disappointing
Open kitchen policy great - Staff eating from customer portions not great. Using bare hands no glove ,no tongs- after mopping and vacuuming around, you tell me? Running business in the current climate is a challenge - I get it . 50 years is along time to have processes in place if not adhered by staff, it is still the business owner's responsibility. Haven't been here for years because of poor food quality. And guess what? Nothing's changed. Pleasantries by the young girl at the counter and a party going on in the cooking area.The chicken burger, crumbed fish, chickettes and crumbed prawns were all burnt. Never again! Please take a leaf out of the Marden outlet. Always perfect.
Been coming to this store for many years. That stops now. Walk into the shop and it stinks of stale oil. Girl at the counter was very nice. Placed my order and sat down. The entire time I waited the kitchen staff were loud and raukus. Carrying on the whole time. Got home and it looked nice until I tasted the reheated stale chips which we most threw out. You guys need to make some changes or you're going out of business.
